Short photo article on the DIY manufacture of an external barrel for 1911.
Why ? Because I enjoy playing only GBB and it can be interesting to have a long barrel to increase both power and accuracy. Indeed, 280 fps at arm’s length and with blowback, you are quickly disadvantaged against a 100€ AEG shooting at 350 fps, as effective as can be the hop-up rubber whatever may be said by those who claim to know everything in airsoft. This is a personal design, MARUI-like platform and fixed-type barrel to continue to bring a gain of precision, as small as it is. Machining metal lathe and dremel in a single block of aluminum to increase, again, the stability and durability of the piece.

Pourquoi ? Parce que j’apprécie jouer uniquement au GBB et qu’il peut être intéressant d’avoir un canon long pour augmenter à la fois la puissance et la précision. En effet, 280 fps à bout de bras et avec du recul, on est vite désavantagé face à un AEG à 100€ tournant à 350 fps, aussi efficace que puisse être le joint hop-up et quoi que puissent dire les “j’ai tout vu tout lu” de l’airsoft. Il s’agit ici d’une conception personnelle, sur plateforme MARUI-like et de type canon fixe pour continuer d’apporter un gain de précision, aussi infime soit-il. Usinage au tour à métaux et à la dremel dans un seul bloc d’aluminium pour augmenter, encore, la stabilité et longévité de la pièce.
