The Vigneron submachine gun was developed by Colonel George Désiré Vigneron and produced by Belgian company Precision Liegoise SA. It was adopted by Belgian army in 1953, and saw some combat in then-Belgian Congo. Vigneron submachine gun was inspired by the german MP40 and had quite conventional design and appearance. It is blowback operated, selective fired weapon which fires from open bolt. Additional automated safety is built into the backstrap of the pistol grip. Stock is made from steel wire and is retractable, with several positions so shooter can adjust it to his own preferences. It was used by the Belgian and portuguese army, but also some African countries and the Irish Republican Army.

Le pistolet mitrailleur Vigneron a été développé par le colonel George Désiré Vigneron et produite par la société belge Précision Liégeoise SA. Il a été adopté par l’armée belge en 1953 et a connu des combats au Congo belge d’alors. La « mitraillette » Vigneron a été inspirée par le MP40 allemand et avait une conception et une apparence assez conventionnelles. Il s’agit d’une arme à sélecteur de tir actionnée qui tire à culasse ouverte. Une sécurité supplémentaire est intégrée dans à l’arrière de la poignée du pistolet. La crosse est faite d’acier et est rétractable, avec plusieurs positions afin que le tireur puisse l’ajuster à ses propres préférences. Ce PM était utilisé par l’armée belge et portugaise, mais aussi par certains pays africains et l’armée républicaine irlandaise.
